You guys seemed to really like my post on Keo’s 15-16 month old routine. I also want to have something to be able to look back on when Keo is older so I can see how our typical days went, so I decided to keep these posts going!
As I mentioned in my last post…
The one thing I found myself searching for in google was other moms feeding and sleep schedules.
I know every baby is different and every day is different. Please use this schedule as a guide, but understand that not every toddler is the same and don’t worry if your schedule is completely different from mine!
So here is what our typical day looks like:
7:30am: Keo wakes up and we play quietly in his room giving us both a little time to wake up.
8:00am: Make breakfast and eat it together
9:00am: Keo plays while I clean up from breakfast
10:00-10:30: Keo showers with his dad in the morning.
10:30am: go for a walk and play outside
11:30am: I give Keo a good snack like yogurt, fruit, or ritz crackers with peanut butter inside
12:00pm: I play, read, and have fun with Keo
1:00pm: I let Keo watch a little tv while I make lunch
1:30: We eat lunch and I put Keo down for his nap after we are done.
2:00-4:00pm: Keo naps and I clean, rest, or work on school
5:00pm: snack when Keo wakes up
5:30pm: go to the park or play outside
6:00pm: Keo plays with his toys while I start dinner
7:00pm: Dinner and clean up after
8:00pm: more play time, reading, or tv until bedtime at 9:00pm! Sometimes we squeeze another bath in depending on the day!
I realize that our schedule seems to run later than most kids Keo’s age, but Keo refuses to go to bed “early” and waits until his dad gets home from work so he can see and play with him before bed and I am more than ok with that.
Instead of trying to fit Keo into a mold of what most toddlers are doing his age, we found a schedule that worked for him. He still sleeps through the night and sleeps well!
*This is what an average day looks like for us. It changes depending on when Keo wakes up or what we have planned for the day. Not every day looks like this, and sometimes we have to adjust our schedule or have shorten nap times. But for the most part, this is what a typical day at home looks like for us*
